About us
beEternal is the combined vision of a group of 3 friends from different backgrounds. We all bring different skills to the table, however; we all have the same goal. We are Partners-in-Cream.
Our mission is to take a premium product from New Zealand to the world.
And this is how it happened…
When Paul met Debbie. In 1988 Paul was doing what many good Kiwi blokes were doing. He left his job on the Dairy Farm, strapped on a backpack and set off to see the world. The stars aligned and Paul landed in a bar called the Coyote Corral in Santa Fe, New Mexico USA. In walked Debbie, on that fateful Sunday afternoon, and a great long-distance relationship ensued.
Fast forward 13 years to 2001. Two countries, two wedding ceremonies, two children and several business ventures had transpired. The distances were no longer an issue as Debbie had become a NZ permanent resident and they had made the decision to live full-time in New Zealand and raise their children in the beautiful Land of the Long White Cloud. A dream of both Paul and Debbie was to have a business that shared something of New Zealand with the rest of the world. It was (is) such a special place with such an incredibly rich culture and so many unique attributes, that they not only wanted the rest of the world to appreciate it, but recognised an entrepreneurial opportunity when they saw one. The question was, "What would they take to the world?"
Enter Diane. In the winter of 2001, young Ryan was 6 years old and prepping for his 2nd season of Rugby. He became fast friends with young Conor, a teammate. Ryan’s parents, Debbie and Paul, spent many freezing, rainy winter Saturday mornings on the side-lines with Conor’s mum, Diane, and a friendship was born. Diane was soon to begin training to be a Homeopath.
Fast Forward another 11 years to 2012. Diane has become a fully qualified and well-respected Homeopath with her own business, consultation practice and skincare line in beautiful Matakana. New Zealand. She is very particular and will only use top-quality, eco-friendly, ethical, natural ingredients in her skin care and natural health remedies. Debbie and Paul returned from a trip to the USA and were more inspired than ever to find that ONE PERFECT PRODUCT from New Zealand. And they may have finally hit on the right idea. (Ryan and Conor were in their final year of school at this stage…can you believe it?).
Bee Venom. World economics had changed considerably in the past two decades so the criteria for an export product from New Zealand had changed as well. The product would HAVE to be of the VERY highest quality and absolutely unique. There had been snippets in the news about the wonders of Honeybee venom from bees who fed off the nectar of the native Manuka flower in New Zealand . BINGO!
Sometimes the answer is right under your nose. Who could be trusted with such an important task as creating the world’s best skincare product with bee venom? Research showed that there were a couple of other products on the market (and they were creating quite a BUZZ!) There was still plenty of room for expansion, however. Should Debbie and Paul try and get in with one of them? That didn’t feel right. Then the light bulb (finally) went off in Debbie’s head as she thought, “Diane!!!” Of course! A phone call was made and a partnership was formed.
Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was beEternal. It is now another four years down the track and the extraordinary Moisturising Cream and Eye & Facial Serum are ready to launch. It has been tried and tested on ourselves and other willing friends, family and human guinea pigs (never actual guinea pigs, rodents, primates, canines or other unwilling subjects.)
A dream is realised. The development of beEternal has been a labour of love and we hope that is reflected in our product. We truly believe these are the best Bee Venom and Manuka Honey Skin Care products on the market. Yes, of course, we are biased, but we have done extensive product research and have used that information to create an impressive product.
Thanks you for sharing in our dream and we hope you think as much of our product as we do. Please feel free to share your thoughts with us via email or social media.
